Parental Leave/Working Mother Deferment

Borrowers must have at least one outstanding loan made before July 1, 1993.

A Parental Leave/Working Mother Deferment can be used for either:

Deferment for Stafford or Supplemental Loan for Students (SLS) loans if you are a working mother who meets income eligibility requirements.
Deferment for Stafford or SLS loans if you are on parental leave.
