Review Your Credit Reports
The best way to understand your credit history is to review copies of your credit report from each of the four credit reporting agencies. You should review your credit report at least once a year to make sure the information recorded is accurate. The Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act (FACT Act) gives you the right to receive a free credit report from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion once every 12 months.
Requesting Your Reports
Use one of the following to request your reports:
- AnnualCreditReport.com
You may order all three reports at the same time or at different times during a 12-month period using the Annual Credit Report Web site.
This phone number and Web site are the only authorized sources for you to obtain a free annual credit report from each of the credit reporting agencies. Other companies may offer a similar service but may charge unnecessary fees. Always use caution when giving out personal and financial information.
- Innovis.com
Innovis currently offers two ways to request a copy of your Innovis Credit Report: by phone or mail. Please refer to the Innovis Web site to request your report. Depending on which state you live in, you may have to pay to see your Innovis credit report.
