Iowa Student Loan Armed Forces Interest Reduction Program (for Private Loans)

The Iowa Student Loan Armed Forces Interest Reduction Program recognizes service members who have served, or are serving their country during wartime efforts since Sept. 11, 2001.

The program provides a benefit of 0% interest on private student loans for up to 24 months to borrowers in the United States Armed Forces while they are on federal active duty under Title 10 USC Section 12302. The benefit period is between Sept. 11, 2001, and Dec. 31, 2008.
